When we think about computers the first thing that comes to our head is; does it have internet? Can we get access to anything and everything? We might just use it for entertainment like many people do. But we never think about the fact that it can cause problems in so many ways. For example depending on it because it’s what entertains you the most. Or becoming obese do to lack of exercise or for instance becoming lonely and depress because all you do is seat in front of a computer.Mostly teenagers and adults get carried away with so many things you can do with a computer. And end up depending on it for every little thing. Nothing entertains them more. They think it’s their best friend and get more, and more into it. Becoming obese do to lack of exercise is now happening more than ever. What they don’t know is; you’re metabolism changes or I might say it adapts really quick, you start to loose energy. This is one of the so many ways people become obese without even knowing.Loneliness and depression; I’m sure sounds familiar to a lot of us. Probably one person out of five has heard or knows about an other one who suffers of these symptoms. What’s sad about it is that a lot don’t make it out of this. The reason why? Simply because instead of going out or even staying home with family members or friends talking about anything having a real good time.At the end some realize they are getting apart from the ones who really matter in their lives and not the imaginary world the start living in. We all should be aware of the good and bad things about a computer. Be able to handle this things carefully it’s a virtue we should pass on to others.

Lis,
You make some very good points. Take a look at the third sentence of your post, the one that starts with “For example.” Is it, and the next sentence, actually a sentence? Sound the words out to yourself.

Hanging On
Summertime was finally here; a perfect day for the beach. It was the year I graduated from High School; cruising around in cars with friends was the thing to do, my best friend Virginia, her boyfriend Dean, and I. The three of us in the front seat of Deans’ car, I was on the passenger side. When sitting in the front passenger seat of a car, I learned that I should not lean against the door.
Deans’ 1975 Chevy Chevelle SS, chromed out, huge wheels; a screaming loud engine and a really nice stereo system. Sitting at the red light, when the light turned green Dean “floored it”, I couldn’t help from leaning against the passenger door as we turned left, when all of a sudden I was hanging on to the inside door handle and the bottom half of my body fell out of the car, leaving my feet and butt dragging along the bumpy uneven road. I could feel the heat on my back as the pavement on the street was ripping a hole in my green shirt and what felt like my back was on fire. I could smell the engine fumes from cars and trucks that were driving nearby.
Dean pulled the car over on the side of the road as fast as he could without crashing. I was really embarrassed but laughing from being embarrassed and the thought of what just happened. Still flabbergasted, I got off the street, jumped back in the car and pulled the door closed and off we drove. I can still see the look on Virginia’s face as we drove away and remember her saying “oh shit are you ok?” I couldn’t speak; the tears from laughing were rolling down my face as I was trying to catch my breath. My stomach even hurt from laughing hysterically.
Even today, when Virginia and I talk or get together and reminisce about old times in High School, this car story always comes up and we still laugh about it. Virginia is still a big part of my life; our friendship means a lot to me.

Wonderful post. I especially liked the following, very descriptive lines:
“I could feel the heat on my back as the pavement on the street was ripping a hole in my green shirt and what felt like my back was on fire. I could smell the engine fumes from cars and trucks that were driving nearby.”

Exemplification Essay
The web presents an easy way to interact with people around the world. We can communicate instantly, and share our feelings with friends and family members. I have learned that technology is a good thing after all.
In Cuba, for example, I still remember that if I wanted to write a letter to someone, I had to send it way in advance because sometimes it would take up to forty days for the letter to arrive. Sometimes the cards for special occasions would arrive after the event. Another way to communicate with my family was waiting for someone to travel and deliver the letters. When I came from Cuba, I delivered about two hundred letters to family and friends.
Another example of improved human interaction is the use of the web cam through the internet. The web cam makes us feel as if we were with our family. It is also a good way to have conferences. Web cams have also promoted the entertainment business on television.
In state and private universities the internet has also made a great impact. Students don’t have to attend daily classes. Online courses help busy people attend college without missing work. It also gives the professors more time to interact with the students.
The last example is that the internet has become the fastest way to stay in touch with the world twenty four hours a day. We do not wait for the 6:00 o’clock news anymore. This is a great way to check the weather and sports news. It also keeps us in touch with the latest update of the stock market.
Thanks to the web and the advanced technology, we have improved our human interaction and simplified our way of communication. We no longer spend hours writing letters, and instead dedicate time to our family.

Comparing Addictive Personalities
Recently, unfortunately I experienced life living and being married to an addicted person. My dear friend’s husband Dave was in an accident and not too long after Dave’s accident, my soon to be ex husband Jack too was in an accident. This is a comparison of two husbands that had unfortunate accidents and both needed pain medication. An addictive personality can result in prescription drug abuse and ruin a marriage. Some people use prescription medication for legitimate reasons and other people don’t.

The state of Florida, better know as the sun shine state is made up of several beautiful cities ideal for living or just for resting. Ocala and FT Lauderdale are just two cities where I had the opportunity to live and learn about their difference and similarities such as the size, the lifestyle of each city, and the activities you can do in each city.

Communication between humans has always played a significant role in our development, and as we evolved, so did the way we communicate. The importance of communication through time transformed our lives in the present. In the past, the way we kept in touch with other people was rather different than the way we do today.

Most of the time people are looking forward for their vacations. However, this year, for my husband and I has been a topic of discussion. As we are from two different countries, I’m from El Salvador and my husband is from Venezuela, the problem is that we both want to visit our families, but economically we can only go to one country or the other. In order to take the best decision we research on both countries to check the options. The purpose of this essay is to compare both El Salvador and Venezuela and make the best decision for what country to visit for this year vacations.
