After teaching my science class I have a routine walk around the room. I check each of my student’s class work to see if they are correctly answering the class assignment. After my second walk I see across the classroom that one of my students is writing on a paper with red colored marks. I immediately proceed to his side, and unaware of my presence he continued to draw. I quietly and politely ask him if he had finished his class work. With wide eyes he answered, “Yes, Mrs.”, so I asked him pointing to this magnificent drawing, “and this drawing?” He answered, “Since you always say, use your time wisely, and I finished all my work, a “spark” came to my mind, and I had to draw”. Then he said, “This painting is for you!” When I saw this beautiful, light feathered ink picture I thought to myself, “what is better his ability to draw, or that he remembered to use his time wisely”.

When I graduated with my associates degree last year, who knew the job crises had gotten so bad. Before I knew their ad been high unemployment, I viewed on the news many companies had already begun downsizing to create less and spent even less. Yet I didn’t believe that I would be affected or my career advancement goals would be hindered with the recent state of the economy. First, I made attempt to move up within my company, I succeed at learning and passing the company procedures and policies exams. After that I was then given greater duties and responsibilities at the job which I looked forward to. Then before I knew it I acquired a percent raise, who know the manager was also eyeing for a higher position also. I am please to be a CSS II within the company and enjoy what I do and how I help customers. After all the news coverage of shortages here and there with jobs, I’m glad that the job crisis has not affect my pursuit of advancement, both career and educational goals.

Yesterday, after leaving my sons doctors office, I stopped at the nearby Kmart to buy some Tlyeno for my son. Once I found the Tylenol, I was about to get in line to pay, but before I knew it I found myself in the children’s department looking at baby out-fits for my 9 month old. I know I didn’t have much money, but I really wanted this one out-fit that caught my eye. After a few minutes of debating whether or not to but this out-fit, I grabbed it and put it into my shopping cart. When I got to the cash register, I asked the cashier to price check it fore me, she did and she told me that it was only .99 cents. I thought to myself, Wow, I should go get a few more. Immediately after I payed the cashier I ran back over to the kids department and looked around, but the entire rack was gone. I searched everywhere, but couldn’t fint it. I was totally stumped; it was as if it was never there!

When Professor Blanco instructed us to write a narration on a subject of our choice, I am sure that it presented us with a possible brain-freeze, because we probably prefer to be given a topic. We first had to think of a subject and then jot down a number of subjects before deciding on one. Secondly, we had to tap into our rhetorical modes utilizing our five senses description. Then we were able to place them in sequence capturing the intricate details of our essays. So remember it is important to do your background work before writing your narrative, that way after you have completed you would have produced a quality paper.
When I decided I wanted to have my driver’s license in my tees, I first use to practice to drive on my brother’s and a friend’s vehicle. Then as it became apparent that they were not the best instructors for me I went and engaged the assistants of a professional driving instructor. First he took me through the preliminaries of driving before allowing me to go on the road and be a danger to the public. Secondly, he allowed me to drive on off-roads and in large parking lots after hours, knowing that the lots would be free of other vehicles and pedestrians. After I received my driver’s license my instructor knew that I was well prepared and ready for the road.

Before the wedding reception began the bride and groom nervously waited in their parked limo to make their entrance in the grand ballroom. The bride maids first made their way followed by the bride and groom towards the red carpet which was decorated with red and white petals. The ballroom was beautiful decorated and was filled with guests, mostly friends and families of the bridal party. The guests were ecstatic with joy, and there were loud laughter and conversations coming from every corner of that magnificent room. The bride and groom were directed to the table which displayed an absolute fabulous 6 layers cake and then made their toast of love for each other. The DJ then began playing the music which aroused everyone to the dance floor. The entire guests indulged in the food, drinks and cake provided and everyone celebrated the night with much enthusiasm. After the reception was over the bride and groom happily drove off in the black limo to their hotel suite which is located in Miami Beach while the guests made their way home tiredly to their respected homes.

While I was studying for my Series 3 license Examination this time away from home or class room. This license will allow me to become a Commodities Broker. I decided on a new place this time. The local Cutler Bay Library in the middle of the day. Not realizing how empty the place would be, or the dead silence all around me. After studying for about an hour or so it dawn on me what it must be like to not have the sounds of everyday life. First the sounds of people talking and chattering about, some people were using cell phones, some people communicating face to face, conversations about what happened, when it happened or why it must have happened to start with.
After which I began to think about how the now freed 33 Chilean coal miners must have felt underground. The news reporters did not clearly indicate anything of this to the public audience. Then I wondered what the experience of not hearing any of these sounds, cars, buses, trucks and planes would be like. How it must have felt while being confined for so long more than 2 months. Secondly not seeing the sun rise nor seeing the sun setting. I must say this event was truly and amazing experience in my life time. This was certainly a living Miracle.

Last Friday which was the twenty second of November, was my biggest challenge in my professional career. I have thirty five students, at my school we had an amounts of computers that we had to donate for unfortunates students, they only had to pay a twenty five dollars including the internet. First I had to call all the parents with ought knowing that if they are going to make it or not. Second those parents had unlimited time to arrive at school then we had to help them to fill out the application on the computer, not all of them know it out of my thirty student seventy five percent responded . I felt an enormous joy that I never felt before, knowing those students will get access in the internet, four fill their homework etc. I which all school will be able to do the same, even though they will get it on December the first. I proud to be part of that team.

Last night, when I was calmly reading and taking notes from my Theology textbook, my six year old son suddenly screamed so loud that he almost coughed a lung. Then, as I got up from the chair to run towards the door, the cup on my desk felt and water splashed everywhere. At that point, the water along with the pieces of glass scattered throughout my beautiful wooden floor, was far from significant. The only thing that mattered was finding out why he screamed so loud. After the cup accident, I got to the living room and my child was nowhere to be found. First, I called his name twice, but he did not answer. Then, I called his name a second time, but he still would not answer. When I was about to call his name a third time, I noticed the front door was opened. At that moment, I literally felt my heart pounding at a fast rate. Then, as I walked towards the door, my son jumped right in-front of me, in his ninja custom saying, “happy halloween”. When I asked him why he screamed and yelled, he said, “it was the only way to get you to come look for me, and I unlocked the door so you would think a bad guy took me”.

An amazing experience at work
Monday afternoon was not one of my regular days as a bus driver since I was not driving a regular bus route. That day, I was the stand by driver with a bus at Down Town Miami. While I was sitting inside the bus waiting for a phone call to replace any damage bus, then the so expected call arrived. I was instructed by one of the Transit controller to go to the 395 expressway to replace one bus that just ran out of gas. The instruction were very clear, I first have to wait for a Miami police officer to go there. As soon as the police officer arrived she escorted me to the cause way as part of the instructions. After we were on the place of switching buses, I with her help will switch buses. The officer job was simple; she was only in charge of the safety of the operation in this risk area. When we arrived, before we started the procedure, the police close the right line in order to make sure everything was safe. After the passengers change from one bus to the other, I went to the out of gas bus and seat there to wait for the arrival of the service truck. Then the police officer after this operation parked her car behind the bus in order to advice the broken bus. Very unusual in these situations the uniformed lady got off her car and came to the bus to talk to me. She in a very clear way just invited me to step out and go with her to the top of the bridge. Once we got there she looked around and told me, “This is one of the best views of the Port of Miami, enjoy it that many of the people that have it pay for it and we are getting paid to be here”. As soon as I looked around, I realized definitely why she told me that.

On October 30, 2010, I was late for class. That morning I woke up feeling vibrant by the thought of me learning something new. Fortunetly for me, my son was up already. Before getting ready, the first thing I would do; as if it was a religion, is blast my stereo so I can feel alive like the artist coming from my speakers. After feeding my body with cleanliness, I started breakfast while my son attended his cleanliness rituals as well. So far the morning has been perfect along with its sunshine. Just before I thought it couldn’t get any more perfect,is when I discovered every entrance to my brothers community was blocked off by almost every officer in Miami; that threw out that idea of leaving him with my brother. My second thought was to leave him with my wife, because my first thought was trying to enter from a different way. My timed consumed trip back to my wife’s work place, which is at Homestead Baptist Hospital caused me to be late, but finally I arrived.
