Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. This gives them valuable life lessons at an early age. They are taught responsibility, accountability and given a true sense of belonging. For example, washing the dishes may seem like a mundane task. Clean dishes gain importance when there is an absence of them at dinnertime. Another example of an important social lesson is setting the table. Not only is the child taught responsibility to the family, they also learn proper etiquette. A final example is helping to prepare meals. The child is participating in a necessary function and making an important contribution. Although these simple tasks may appear to be tedious and boring, they provide valuable lessons in a child’s life. They justify their importance in the family dynamic and help to enhance positive self worth.

Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. Children learn a lot at a young age, they are like sponges and suck information and things they see in. so starting children early to perform tasks within a family, will help them feel like they have accomplished things and give them a sense of doing something good.
For example; helping clean around the house, this helps children feel like they are doing something good and they feel accomplished. Children will probably argue and fight and complain while doing it, but in the end they feel good after the task is complete. I know as a child I used to argue about cleaning up the house but then once it was completed and my parents told me I had done a great job, I felt very accomplished and happy that I had helped my parents.
Second example; doing lawn work is a very good family task to do. Children can learn about nature while feeling good about it. When children help with the yard work they are learning something new and how to maintain the yard and why nature is so important to everyday uses. When I was younger my mom used to have my help in the yard. She would explain to me what each plant was and why it was so important. She would also explain to me about how they live and die and what made the plants different. Children are learning while helping and that is a very important thing for many children to do.
Another example is; family night of games a movie or something new on a certain night. This is a very important task for children because it shows how important family time is and gives them a feeling of being accepted while spending some good and fun times with their family. Children that take part of family night become more social and make better family oriented people when they grow up. Because when they were younger the memories of family night stand out so then they go and make time for their children to enjoy family night and they bond better and are more open to talk to their parents about things.
In conclusion, children that perform tasks within the family become more social and learn at a young age the value of family and responsibilities. Children learn by doing and seeing what is going on within the family. So parents spend time with your children and have them do important tasks within the family because children will learn so much more by doing things instead of sitting around on the couch playing video games.

Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. Assigning our children tasks at an early age will help them learn to value the importance of family and will teach them manners and responsibilities. For example, give them chores to do around the house. This will teach them manners not only in their home but at school or when visiting friends and relatives. Another example is showing them the importance of recycling. If we were taught to recycle as kids the world today would be a lot cleaner. A final example is scheduling “reading” time. This activity can be either individual or group reading. This can benefit both parent and child by spending time together as a family while they are being prepared to perform better in school. In conclusion there are many tasks and activities that we can give our children so that they can grow up to become successful. Give them tasks where they will learn and not get bored or frustrated while doing it.

Can we apply the African philosophy of Ubuntu to Create Shared Value that can bridge the gap between business and society? We, meaning business and society need to except our roles of responsibility, when it comes to both needs to be embedded in the decision making for the marketing of a product or the cost of the product, which can represent the adoption of evolutionary progress of Ubuntu and creating shared value as a whole body (Dave Witzel, 2008). But, not losing the rooted meaning behind creating shared value, all the while intertwining the perception of Ubuntu to creatively bind or blend them two into business needs and society needs, where both business and society will benefit ( Johonnes L van der Walt, 1097).

Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. There will be times when the parents will not be at home. With the parents being away from home the children will have to perform some of these tasks. For example the eldest son may have to do the outside chores and the oldest daughter may have to do the inside chores. The son may take out the garbage, mow the lawn and wash the widows. The daughter may cook, clean the kitchen and the bathroom. Another example is the older children may help the younger siblings. They will help them get their dinner, bath and homework for that night. A final example is making sure that everything is decent and in order before they all go to bed. All of the kids will help one another with getting their school clothes out and ironed for the next school day. All of their homework should be placed in back packs, teeth are brushed and all prayers are said before going to bed. Sometimes children learn at an early age to take on adult roles, this may include children performing important tasks within the family. All in all it is a learning experience about what they have to look forward to, if they decide to grow up too fast.

Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. In some families the oldest sibling my have to help out with watching their younger siblings, while their parent are working evening jobs. For example it’ll be the oldest responsibility to make sure their younger brothers and sisters have completed their homework once home from school. Another example after homework is completed it’s time to prepare dinner. A final example once dinner have been completed everyone pitch in and clean off dinner table and wash the dishes. These important life lessons teaches children responsibility and a since of a family helping one another.

Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. Many children start as early as three years old helping their family with chores. Performing tasks within the family, helps build character, helps them to become more organized and prepares them for his or her future. For example, when I was four, my mother use to make my sister and I pick up our toys after we finished playing with them. This enabled us to take responsibility for the mess we made. Another example of performing task, is when my parents assigned chores for us to perform. We were around eight years old, and our chores changed every week. We did not like this very much, but later on in life it taught us how to be more organized. A final example happened as we became adults. While working on my job, I notice I was one of the few employees that have a neat desk. By having a neat desk, my mind was free to due whatever task that was front of me. So, just by mere the fact that my parents assigned task for my sister and I to perform at home, it helped mold us to who we are.

Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. For a family to function successfully it is important that all members work as a unit. Within each family it is imperative that roles for each member are established. It is up to each child’s guardian to implement these roles within the household and instill them with the responsibility of upholding these roles within the family unit.
For example when I was a child my father clearly established and enforced particular tasks that I was expected to perform. Some of these tasks included taking out the trash, keeping my room clean, mowing the yard, chopping wood, doing good in school and respecting other members in the family to name a few. By completing these tasks I was an active participant within the family unit. Thus, alleviating some of the stress of the day to day tasks for my caregivers and in doing so taught me the responsibility of being a member to the family.
Another example of the importance of the children’s roles and tasks within the family became apparent to me on my recent visit to my mother’s. I recall as a child visiting my mother during my summer vacations of having the freedom to do as I liked and not be bothered with any tasks or be held accountable for anything. It was always a struggle with my father in the Fall to reinstall the necessary discipline to make me complete my expected tasks that made me an active member within the family.
A final example of the importance of the child’s role in the family is when the child becomes an adult that was raised in a family with set roles; they will find that the transission into the adult world and workplace will be easier. These children as adults typically, are task oriented and are able to complete tasks more proficiently than children who were not expected to be active members within their each respected families.
In conclusion, as I have been exposed to both types of families as discussed above, as I look towards the future as to how I would like my children raised, it is quite evident to me that by having defined roles and tasks within the family is better for the family as a unit and better for each member within the family to establish such roles.

When children are given everything in life, they usually tend to be lazy and have no sense of responsibility. Sometimes children must perform important tasks within the family. These tasks are very important in the development of children because it allows them to spend time with the family. Also, it teaches them how to be responsible and appreciate work that would prepare them for their adult years. For example, when kids are given the task to clean their rooms every week and pick up their dirty laundry, they are more likely to become very clean and organized in their adulthood. Organization is a very important skill that could be applied not only at home, but at work.
Another example is showing children how to wash their clothes. I remember when I lived with my grandmother, she used to do the laundry and iron my clothes. Since, I was not aware of the hard work and the time it takes to do laundry, I would try on an outfit and if I did not like it, I would throw the clothes on the floor and try another outfit. My grandmother, unaware of my irresponsibility, would wash the clothes again. My poor grandmother was spending more time doing laundry, and the expense would be double. When I got to this country, I had to learn how to do my own laundry. My mom invested the time on teaching me how to do it; this was beneficial for both of us, since my mom got help and I got my lesson on how to wash clothes and how to be more appreciative.
The final example would be teaching children to take care of their pets. Children like animals; however, having a pet is another responsibility for parents. However, I think it is completely fair to make an agreement between parents and children, that the only way parents would allow to have animals in the house is if the children are in charge of training, grooming and feeding the pets. Taking care of pets requires a lot of work; this teaches children to be dedicated, caring and responsible for another being.
To conclude, I would like to emphasize the importance of teaching children responsibility by assigning tasks that would later be more developed in their adult life, including organization, appreciation, and dedication.
